I don’t know if you heard the back-story of the author photo, taken with a disposable camera by a 10 year old girl who had never seen one before. It was a magic moment: I was in a small town of cobblestone streets high in the Peruvian Andes, kicking along. There was a girl dancing in the street with that dog. The altitude was 12,000′. The dog on its hind legs whirling around and around. The dog had a case of the red-eye, conjunctivitis, and I tapped in to see. I took its paws and after the dance lifted it to a bench that was backed by the red moon painting. Inspired, I handed the girl the camera, and she snapped the pic.
